My childhood in short

I grew up in Abisko, north of Sweden. I went to a lappschool in Jukkasjärvi until 3rd class. After that i started to go to a swedish school in Abisko. My school years in Abisko was like a nightmare. I got beaten up and called names by the swedes. In Abisko there were about 10 lappfamilies the rest were all swedes. I was a confirmand in Jukkasjärvi church. When I was young I worked as a train stewardess between Kiruna - Östersund. I moved to Stockholm 1959, got married and today I´ve got children and grand-children. It´s nice to live in Stockholm, here they see the Lapps as something exotic ! I hope that Lapps of today got a better status.
