Lappsbread

2 kg flour
250 g butter
3 dl sugar
1/2 bottle of syrup
2 packets of yeast (50 g)

Melt butter with 1 liter of water. Warm until water/butter is 37 degrees C (very important ! ) Take a cup of the water/butter mix and add the yeast to it. Put it back again and add all the other ingredients. Work the dough well. Leave to rest for 1 1/2 hours. Make about 14 - 16 flat round breads, put on oven trays. Leave to rest for another 1 1/2 hour Before you bake the bread in the oven make sure to prick it with a fork and sprinkle some water on top of it. 250 - 300 degrees C Bake until golden brown. Take out of oven and spread a little bit of butter on them.
